Dave has been on the front lines of OEM SMS implementation with his direct participation standing up a voluntary OEM SMS back in January of 2013, over ten years before it became required by the FAA. Dave has played a major role in the development of SMS standards for the global community.

Dave has supported 27 on scene accident investigations and managed 100's while serving as Flight Safety Director.
